Bangladesh – Great Potential for Energy Efficient Industry
The 3e programme and the Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 22 hosted the seminar “Bangladesh – A great potential for energy efficient industry” in collaboration with Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
The aim was to highlight the findings to date from the Energy Efficiency Engagement (3e) to business leaders from DCCI and the press.
Senior Secretary from the Ministry of Industry Mosharraf Hossain Bhuyian was present as the Chief Guest while the newly appointed Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh Mikael Hemniti Winther was special guest. It was also the first official event for the new Danish ambassador to Bangladesh.
The overall potential from 36 energy assessments in local industries:
16% energy savings
21% energy cost savings
18% CO2 emissions reduction
